I wanted a beautiful handmade item like this gorgeous soup mug, to make a succulent planter dish for a dear friend.
It has a fabulous light blue glaze that has almost a rainbow effect in the light. It sold as a "second" but cannot perceive any imperfections to my eyes!
I requested a light glaze in the notes and the seller messaged me shortly afterwards to confirm that with me. When the package arrived, it was packed so well, nothing would have damaged it en route.

This was a gift for my mom's birthday. She was very excited. Im purchasing a second one for my dad for Christmas.
This is a second, but I think any boo-boo (maybe a bubble in the glaze? Maybe the dark speckle here and there?) or two….but I think those spots are just a sign of “handmade”, “rustic”, “texture”, etc. ….all good things in my book. Maybe the white glaze might show imperfections that make this a second, but I ordered other pieces in seconds and all look really good to me!

This is my 2nd purchase of an imperfect ceramic mug and I love it just as much as the 1st one! You'd be hard pressed to find the imperfection. As for shipping, they do an incredible job of packing. So well packed that it withstood a hit that left a significant dent in the clearly marked "fragile" box!

I bought two of these bowls and I am very impressed. The quality of craftsmanship is high and there is enough subtle differences to tell that they are handmade and unique. I like the size of the handle and it's shape, it is easy to hold a bowl of soup comfortably with my big hands. I will be buying more of these bowls as gifts for people.
I was looking for a quality soup mug and I found it. It's both beautiful and functional. And because it was in the "seconds" section, it was a price I could justify spending on something I really wanted but didn't need. LOL
