Chess Boards

I ordered the small board (12" overall width) and it's exactly as I had hoped. It looks great with the minimalist pieces I have and is a comfortable fit in terms of size (~3.1" tall king with 1" base). Though not directly related to the product itself, I do also appreciate that they reuse and recycle packing materials.

Great board! I got 2 1/4 squares. Will keep on my living room coffee table. I have a bunch of triple and quadruple weighted plastic sets I will rotate on it….

Arrived in perfect condition. Size was exact, the squares are perfectly aligned, and the wood is beautiful. Extremely high quality craftsmanship, highly recommend.

The board is very solid and looks great

I purchased the 2-1/4" board. It is excellent. The finish is smooth, with no visible bubbles or faults. The wood is beautiful. I corresponded with Keilah, a Brokaw family member, before making the purchase. She was friendly and helpful. I learned that the family sold at craft fair shows before Covid, including 20 juried fine arts fairs annually. After seeing the board, I can understand why their products were judged so well. By the way, the packing was beyond impressive.

Board arrived today, on schedule. It is truly a work of art. So glad my wife found JK Creative on Etsy. Great customer service and an awesome product.

Beautiful chess board.

I bought this same walnut and maple board from two other Etsy woodworkers. The other two were not very good. The first one had 5 misaligned squares (1/8 inch wide) and the second one had tool marks, bubbles, and some other quality issues.

The one from JK had none of those issues. Everything about it was awesome! It almost does not look real. The board is so smooth that I can't even tell where the maple squares stop and the walnut ones begin. I would buy this one again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a quality product at a reasonable price.

Oh so happy with this one! This is a beautiful piece of art....and so much more impressive than the photos could possibly reflect. I looked at this for a while, comparing to others that were similar - but so glad I got this one. Thrilled. It's a chess board for my nephew and I'm sure he will treasure it...however even if you don't play chess, this piece on your coffee table will certainly make you smile. Peace.
